On November 26th, Prof. Wang Qidong, HFU president, meets delegation of Saxony State(Germany) led by Dr. Peter Hominius of its Economic Promotion Association, and Prof. Maximilian Abnesti, vice president of Chemnitz University of Technology.
Prof.Wang Qidong welcomes the guests and introduces HFU’s development and cooperation with Germany, which was “born in reform, grows in opening-up and develops in innovation”, maintaining cooperation with Germany in teacher-student and school-enterprise exchange, discipline and researchcooperation, educational research and so on for more than 30 years in her reform of applied higher education. Particularly, the “Sino-German Education Cooperation Demonstration Base”, established by the Prime Minister Li Keqiang and Chancellor Merkel, has been highly valued and widely recognized. HFU initiates and persists in the “dual-system” higher education in China, continuously expanding the cooperation with German universities, enterprises and institutions.
Dr. Peter Hominius feels honored to visit HFU and affirms HFU’s long-term exchange and cooperation with Germany, who also mentions that Saxony excels in mechanicaland micro-manufacturing, hoping to develop more projects with HFU jointly. Prof. Maximilian Abnesti introduces Chemnitz University of Technology, looking forward to becoming HFU’s next partner in Germany. Mr. Frank Leschmann, SiSTeam CEO, hopes to cooperate with HFU in industrial technology, which should be implemented through specific projects in which HFU has much successful experience.
The visit of Saxony delegation will further increase the possibility for HFU to cooperate with universities, enterprises and institutions in Saxony, and promote the construction of Sino-German Education Cooperation Demonstration Base.
